A Life For Men - Memoirs of Emrys ('Bill') Williams.

Emrys Williams, who is more commonly known as Bill, was at the school in the 1930s. He left the school at the end of the Summer term in 1939 and in March 1940 he joined the RAF as an apprentice, leaving in 1953. He has written his (unpublished) memoirs of his RAF days and wondered if we'd like to make them available on the website. Although not specific to the school it is hoped some readers might find them of interest.

Can you help catalogue some photos?

Beryl has three sets of photos that she would appreciate some help with. Two come from the musical 'Robert and Elizabeth' which will date from the late 1970s and starred Judith Robertson and Martin Harwood. Another four comes from a 'mediecal play' which at first glance looked to Graham like the sometime around 1980 but which Beryl thinks may be much later as they were apparently prepared for the printer of a prospectus. The remaining four come from a Speech Day presentation which must date from the late 1990s.

Loss of access to the site's photo gallery.

Most of the photos on the site were being hosted by Fotopic.net. Unfortunately that site has been down since early March and it has finally been admitted that the parent company Snappy Designs has ceased trading and is heading for liquidation. It remains to be seen whether Fotopic.net will reappear and if so whether the existing image databases will reappear with it. As the photos have not been available for the best part of a month and no one has commented I am minded to wait a little while longer to see what happens in the hope access will be restored, at which point I can make sure I do have the very latest copies of everything and then consider alternative arrangements. It is the most recent changes to the captioning of the photos that I am concerned about, not the photos themselves.
