Son of James Henry William and Alice Amelia Ferdinando, of Winchmore Hill, Middlesex.

Derrick James Ferdinando was born c. 1925, the son of James Henry William Ferdinando and Alice Amelia Ferdinando (née Russell). He attended the the school between 1937 and 1941.

Derrick died on 6th September 1946 on board Wellington Bomber PG136 from 21 OTU at RAF Moreton-in-Marsh. It stalled when flying low and crashed at Long Compton, Warwickshire. He was 21.
